Book Fair and Book Week Fun

Earlier in August, the school celebrated Book Week and ran our annual Book Fair, both of which were amazingly successful.

The school's annual Book Fair was held in Week 3 of the term, providing children with the opportunity to purchase a variety of excellent books and associated trinkets over the three day fair.

Thanks to the children's (and parent's) purchases, the school received a credit of $1,404 to purchase new book resources for the school library which will be on display and available for loan very soon.

Last week, the school also celebrated Book Week with the theme 'Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds', which allowed for a dazzling range of genres and topics to get our teeth into. Our teachers and librarian ran activities and told stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.

Children also joined in the fun by coming to school on Monday 23rd August dressed as their favourite book character which, as you can in our Photo Galleries, resulted in some great costumes!

Congratulations to Mrs Brown who coordinated both events and managed to wow everybody with her own sci-fi character.

Cheers
