Term 2 Sports News

As we approach the end of the term, we have some sports news for you all to share.

On Friday 18th June, Mundaring PS held our annual Cross Country Carnival, with children from Pre-Primary to Year 6 competing in a grueling long distance run.

While our younger students ran laps of the oval, older students completed 1, 2 or even 3 laps of the whole school circuit.

After some very close races and fierce competition, Koolbardi proved simply too strong yet again, winning the trophy for the third straight year.

Well done to all the students who participated and congratulations to the Top 4 from Year 3-6 who will be representing Mundaring PS at the Interschool Cross Country Carnival on Friday 30th July.

In other sporting news, last week students from Year 4, 5 and 6 participated in the Freo Footy Skills Competition, including a the Freo Long Bomb (Long Kick) competition and the Freo Kwik Kick (Kick to Kick in pairs).

Once again, well done to all students who took part and congratulations to the Top 3 finishers in both events who will now advance to the State Semi Finals on Thursday 15th July at Legacy Park in Cockburn.
