Spelling Bee Success

The HEC Spelling Bee returned to MPS this year with 40 students from 10 schools taking part in Junior (Yr 3 & 4) and Senior Spelling Bees and if you don't think spelling can be exciting, you'd be wrong!

The competition included some of the very best spellers from 10 primary schools in the Hills Education Community and Mundaring was very well represented.

Our Junior team comprised of Ben Ferguson and Phoebe Hall, who both did a great job on the day and served the school well.

In the Senior competition, Nikolas Reynolds and Austin Dayman fought it out with some of the best but ultimately there could only be one winner and that was ...... Austin Dayman from Mundaring PS!!!!

Austin kept his cool throughout the competition, spelling each word carefully and accurately, finally taking out 1st place in Round 5 and then settling back to watch the others fight it out for 2nd.

Congratulations Austin and well done to Nikolas, Ben and Phoebe for representing Mundaring PS so well.
